First, I want to share this random list of facts and details from this movie. I think it's amazing how much was being accounted for, and how much was completely intentional.

Also, here's a little blurb to get you going:
Amélie is a shy waitress in a Montmartre café. After returning a long-lost childhood treasure to a former occupant of her apartment, and seeing the effect it has on him, she decides to set out on a mission to make others happy and in the meantime pursues a quirky guy who collects discarded photo booth pictures. it is amazing how much this movie forced me to pay attention to details. not only did it recite detail as soon as it started, but it also had notions that show amelie paying attention to details on a movie screen, so i thought that was an interesting twist to the art work.
i don't like the idea of talking to the camera much, maybe because it just confused the crap out of me but that's just me.
This wasn't my first time seeing Amelie, but it's a beautiful movie to watch. I like how it starts and ends with explicit time, weather, scientific fact; in the middle, you have to a work a little harder to know what's going on. I felt like the movie is about Amelie finding balance. In her early life, she was terribly alone. She swung to the complete opposite side, becoming completely engrossed in the lives of others - although that still was a bit lonely. In the end, though, she truly found love. The people whom she was watching and interacting with were not fully aware of her influence, but they didn't need to be in order for her to be affected by what she was doing.
